This privacy notice has been prepared by the Marine Life Conservation Society (the “Society”) in its capacity as the data controller, in accordance with Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform.
During your visit to the Marine Life Conservation Society's website (the “Site”) at https://www.denizyasaminikoruma.org/, personal information such as name, surname, age, gender, profession, employment and education status, place of residence, IP information, email address, and phone number may be collected and recorded in the database when you become a member of the site and/or utilize the donation or volunteer services offered on the site.
These personal data are processed through automated and non-automated means based on the legal grounds that processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, as stated in Article 5 of the Law. By applying to our Society, you have the right, in accordance with Article 11 of the Law No. 6698, to learn whether your personal data are processed, request information if your data have been processed, learn the purpose of the processing and whether your data are used in accordance with this purpose, learn the third parties, both domestic and abroad, to whom your data have been transferred, request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request the deletion or destruction of your data within the framework of the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the Law, request that the third parties to whom your data have been transferred be informed of the actions taken in this regard, object to any negative consequences resulting from the exclusive analysis of your data by automated systems, and request compensation for damages if you suffer harm due to unlawful processing.
