In the Sea of Marmara, we provided logistical support for national and international scientific studies to monitor unique marine life. In order to protect marine biodiversity, we contributed to the identification and classification of marine habitat types that will be represented within the network of marine protected areas (Natura 2000 network) to be established across Europe, in line with the European Union (EU) Habitat Directive.
