Ranger System

As the Marine Life Conservation Society, we have established our Ranger System.

Throughout the year, as long as nature permits, we conduct dives in the islands region with our boat at least twice a week. Our ranger team is on-site for coral inspections in protected areas, ghost net cleanups, underwater cleanups, and biodiversity research.

Our ranger team, working in coordination with the Coast Guard Command, particularly focuses on monitoring the protected area, informing fishing vessels such as seiners and trawlers, as well as small-scale local fishermen and individual boat users around the islands, about the protected area and ongoing activities.

Additionally, our ranger team is prepared 24/7 for any conflicts at sea, emergency responses due to natural disasters, or other urgent situations in the islands region.

Composed of professional divers, our team is committed to working in all conditions—summer or winter, rain or shine—to protect and preserve our last refuge, the Sea of Marmara.
